Boston Cruise Parking: The Complete 2026 Guide

Driving to your cruise? Here is exactly where to park, how to reserve the official lot, how the shuttle works, and what to know before embarkation day.

Why I put this guide together: As a Boston-area travel advisor, I help clients sail from Flynn Cruiseport throughout the cruise season. Parking is one of the most common questions I receive, so I created this guide to make the process easier to understand before you leave home.

The short answer

Cruises depart from Flynn Cruiseport Boston, also known as the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal, at 1 Black Falcon Avenue in South Boston. There is not a long-term passenger parking garage attached to the terminal. Official cruise parking is at the Massport Fargo Lot, 93 Fargo Street. Reservations must be made online before arrival through Parking.com, and a complimentary shuttle is included between the lot and the cruise terminal.

Where to leave your car

The official Boston cruise parking lot

Flynn Cruiseport Boston is in the Seaport district at 1 Black Falcon Avenue. Although you may still hear locals call it the Black Falcon Terminal, its official name is Flynn Cruiseport Boston.

Massport directs cruise passengers to the Fargo Lot at 93 Fargo Street, Boston, MA 02210. Parking for Flynn Cruiseport is sold exclusively through Parking.com's Boston cruise parking page. The lot is open 24 hours a day and is approximately a 10-minute walk from the terminal, but cruise passengers receive complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the ship.

What is included with your reservation

Your reservation includes parking for the dates connected to your selected sailing and complimentary shuttle service between the Fargo Lot and Flynn Cruiseport on embarkation and debarkation day.

Important: Parking arrangements must be made online before you arrive. I recommend reserving as soon as you know you will be driving, especially for summer departures and popular fall sailings.

Budgeting for embarkation day

How much does cruise parking cost in Boston?

Parking.com prices the Fargo Lot by sailing, and the total is shown when you choose your ship and departure date. Because rates and service fees can change, I do not recommend relying on an old daily price found in a cruise confirmation, Facebook group, or older article.

Use the live booking page to see the exact cost for your cruise, then compare that total with a round-trip rideshare or another reserved garage. The official lot may not always be the least expensive option, but the included shuttle and cruise-specific setup can make it the easiest choice when you are traveling with luggage or family.

Oversized vehicles: Parking.com currently lists oversized parking at the Fargo Lot for vehicles up to 18 feet high and 30 feet long. Contact the operator before booking an RV or another unusually large vehicle.

Do this before you leave home

How to reserve parking at Flynn Cruiseport Boston

  1. Visit the official Boston cruise parking page on Parking.com.
  2. Find your ship and sailing date in the event list.
  3. Select the parking option shown for your cruise and review the entrance and exit times.
  4. Enter the requested vehicle and payment information and complete the reservation.
  5. Save the confirmation email and follow the entry instructions included with your booking.

Parking.com says guests may arrive at the Fargo Lot as early as 7 a.m. on departure day and recommends arriving at least two hours before the ship's scheduled departure. Your cruise line may assign you a later terminal arrival window, so follow the instructions in your cruise documents as well.

My recommendation: Reserve parking as soon as you know you are driving. Do not wait until embarkation morning to figure out where to leave your car.

When you want another option

Other parking options near the Boston cruise port

The Fargo Lot is the official and usually the most straightforward choice, but it is not the only possibility. If saving money is your priority, or if the official parking option is not available for your sailing, consider these alternatives.

Seaport-area garages

Private garages and surface lots operate throughout the Seaport. Before booking, confirm that overnight parking is allowed for the full length of your cruise and calculate the walking distance with luggage.

Reserved off-site parking

Third-party parking sites may list independent lots near the terminal. Read the cancellation policy, access instructions, operating hours and transportation details carefully.

Hotel parking packages

If you are arriving the night before, some hotels may offer packages that combine a room with extended parking. Confirm whether transportation to Flynn Cruiseport is included or must be arranged separately.

Rideshare or private drop-off

For a longer sailing, two rideshare trips may cost less than leaving a car in Boston. Compare the full parking total with transportation in both directions before deciding.

Skip the parking lot entirely

Getting dropped off at Flynn Cruiseport

Taxis, Uber, Lyft and private vehicles can drop passengers at Flynn Cruiseport Boston. Use 1 Black Falcon Avenue, Boston, MA 02210 as the terminal address and follow signs and staff directions as you approach the port.

Picking someone up after the cruise can take more patience because passengers leave the ship at different times. Flynn Cruiseport has a nearby cell phone waiting lot at 42 Fid Kennedy Avenue. The driver can wait there until the passenger has collected their luggage and is ready for pickup.

A simple way to compare your options is to look at the total parking price for your sailing and compare it with transportation to and from the port. For a solo traveler on a longer cruise, rideshare may be less expensive. For a family with several suitcases, parking may still be the easier choice.

Planning for mobility needs

Accessible parking and transportation

Accessible parking spaces are available at the Fargo Lot, and complimentary accessible transportation can be arranged between the parking lot and Flynn Cruiseport.

Parking.com asks guests who need ADA accommodations to contact the parking operator in advance, when possible, by emailing sbwtc@spplus.com or calling 857-233-5470. Arranging assistance ahead of time helps ensure the appropriate vehicle is available.

A smoother start to your vacation

Boston cruise parking tips I share with clients

Leave earlier than your GPS suggests. Traffic through Boston, the tunnels and the Seaport can change quickly. Build in extra time rather than planning around the best-case drive.

Use the parking address, not just the cruise terminal address. Drive first to 93 Fargo Street when using the official lot. Do not unload at the terminal unless that is part of your own plan.

Keep your confirmation easy to reach. Save it to your phone and take a screenshot in case cell service is slow when you arrive.

Keep cruise documents and medication with you. Passports, identification, medication, valuables and anything you need immediately should stay in your carry-on rather than a checked suitcase.

Take a photo of where you parked. After several days away, a quick photo of your row or nearby marker makes finding your car much easier.

Follow your cruise line's assigned arrival time. The parking lot may open early, but that does not necessarily mean the terminal is ready for you to check in.
