Why Cruise from Boston
If you live in New England, your next cruise does not have to start at an airport. Cruises from Boston sail right out of the Seaport, heading to Bermuda, Canada and New England, Quebec, and beyond.
I am Celeste, a Boston based travel advisor, and I built this page to be your starting point for everything about cruising from our city. Throughout this guide, you will also find links to more detailed planning resources covering every major 2027 departure, Boston cruise parking, and the best hotels near Flynn Cruiseport.
Boston is the Northeast’s drive-to cruise port: you can leave home after breakfast, park near the terminal, and be sailing past the harbor islands by dinner. No flights, no checked bag fees, no airport stress before your vacation even begins.
Three things make our port special. First, no flying is required, since you can drive in from anywhere in New England or stay overnight nearby and stroll to the ship. Second, the itineraries are ones you cannot get from most other ports, because Boston is one of the best home ports in the country for Bermuda sailings and for Canada and New England cruises, especially during fall foliage season. Third, the Black Falcon terminal is far calmer than the mega terminals in Florida, so embarkation day feels civilized, and that sets the tone for the whole trip.

Getting to the Boston Cruise Port
Boston’s cruise ships sail from the Black Falcon Cruise Terminal at Flynn Cruiseport Boston, located at 1 Black Falcon Avenue in the Seaport District of South Boston. It is about three miles from Logan Airport and a ten minute ride from South Station, which makes it one of the easiest cruise terminals in the country to reach.
If you are driving, the official cruise parking lot is nearby, and reservations should be made before you arrive. My Boston Cruise Parking Guide covers where to park, how to reserve the Fargo Lot, shuttle service, drop-off options, and practical tips for embarkation day.
If you are flying in, driving several hours, or simply want a calmer start to the trip, I recommend arriving the day before. My guide to Hotels Near Boston Cruise Port compares the easiest Seaport options based on location, breakfast, pools, parking, and travel style. If you would rather skip the car entirely, the MBTA Silver Line stops within walking distance of the terminal, and taxis and rideshares drop off directly at Flynn Cruiseport.
